About the EBGA Community Garden
Enhancing the well-being and beauty of our community
The mission of Edgewater Beach Gardeners Association (EBGA) is to enhance the well-being and beauty of the community by providing gardening space for people to grow organic produce, increasing social interaction in the community, and creating a garden in an attractive setting.
Our goals
- To provide a friendly environment for both new and experienced gardeners that fosters personal interactions, including the exchange of gardening knowledge within the community.
- To encourage sustainable practices by fostering an appreciation for organic gardening.
- To contribute to the community’s beauty by creating an attractive, welcoming garden space.
- To collaborate with the neighborhood food pantry to provide organic produce and/or gardening assistance to needy individuals and families.

Volunteers
We thank our members, who volunteer on workdays. We also wish to thank:

- Andra Gomberg, Michael Tajchman & Sue Anne Lake who head the Social and Educational Committee and launched our Plot Luck Picnic, Master Gardener Talk, Community Garden Bike Tour (Thanks Ariel Wynne!), and Community Concert in the Garden (Thanks Warren and Sue Anne Lake!)
- Chip Markoya, who with Warren, Clayton and other Special Projects members, demolished more than a dozen rotten old beds and assembled their replacements!
- Past committee leaders, for their work coordinating events, outreach, and education
- Nick Gracilla, for his management of all things digital for the organization, including this website, e-eommerce, and email and file systems
